Enjoying the product very much in the instruction of my just now 6 year old son.
Our 3 year old decided he also needed to learn to read. After meeting with a homeschool group and hearing great reviews we decided to add this book with our Kindergarten Curriculum. Our Five year old is doing so well (currently on lesson 78) and enjoys uncovering the pictures to see what was really happening in the story. He is currently on lesson 34 and doing very well, and totally understands what he is learning. To see your child learn to read before your very own eyes is such an amazing gift.
This is a great book to help your child be successful in reading. I teach first grade and recommend this book to parents to use at home. The lessons are short and easy.
It's very straight forward and tells you exactly what to say as a parent. We go to the library often and we read a ton.
It's an amazing way to introduce the child to sounds and how to properly sound out words. I started my daughter with this book before she went in to Kindergarten.
She got a little bored of the stories so I stopped using the stories in the book and moved to real books with lots of pictures. The stories they learn to read getting longer and longer.
We moved across the world and we slacked a little bit on the lessons, but I still used other books to put the lessons in to practice. This book really got her interested and I would suggest it to anyone who wants a super great effective way for their child to be introduced to the written word.
There really isn't any way to screw it up.
I taught both of my children with this book and I have seen it help many others. I highly recommend it for those who want phonics based reading. Just be sure as the teacher to read the instructions completely.
